Our Sincerest Apologies
Recently, information on our site was posted that was irresponsible and unsubstantiated. The nature of ‘blogs and exhaustion on our crew has muddied our judgment a bit. What was intended to be playful banter turned out to be scathing accusations, and that was not the poster’s intent.
We have nothing but the utmost respect for Arvid Loewen and his crew, his competition adds excitement and motivation for Doug and this crew.
We hope to see Mr. Loewen and his crew throughout this event so we can personally apologize. This post was not the opinion of Levy Racing, the crew or anyone involved with Doug Levy. It was an unfortunate lack of judgment, and this apology is also extended to the RAAM staff and anyone who follows this blog.
Thank You,
Jeffrey T. Goelz
Crew Chief, Levy Racing.

Though the post was put up way too early and written on far too little sleep, there’s no excuse for slandering another honorable racer. I met Arvid today and we talked, and I personally apologized to him, his crew chief, and his family, for the post. Doug and Arvid will continue to challenge each other towards success, and the two crews will continue to support both teams with enthusiasm!

We support both Dog and Arvid in their incredible journeys. It is amazing how they have been brought together and it is wonderful to see them have each other as competition. They are less than 1 minute apart! Is that unheard of?! Wow. Great job Levy and Loewen and keep it up. We’re rooting for you!! – Breanne Levy

I can’t believe how close the race between Doug and Arvid has become. How often does that happen? Anyway, best of luck to both of you! THis is truly the race of a life time! Can’t wait to see both of you at the finish! Jan Peters

Having Doug and Arvid so evenly matched is very exciting; they are challenging each other to give their best. I love to see how they’re both progressing. “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
Doug, you’re riding very sharp! Great work, crew!~ Christine Morris
